• Organization: This is the default name of your site: college, university, company, etc. It will appear in article headers.
• Local Newsgroup Prefix: If your site has local newsgroups, enter their hierarchy prefix here. For example, at Dartmouth College there are a number of local groups that start with the prefix “dartmouth.” If you fill this in, InterNews will create an automatic subscription containing those groups. You might want to experiment with this before distributing the program.
• Mail Suffix: when InterNews sends an article of mail message, it makes up a "From" address from the user name and the authentication host name. If this combination is not correct for your site, you can enter the correct domain name in this box. For example, if your mail address is "jane@somewhere.com" but the authentication host address is "mailHost.somewhere.com", you would enter "somewhere.com".
• Text File Creator: InterNews lets you save articles as text files. This button lets you specify which program will be launched when one of those files is opened from the Finder.
• Shared Computer: check this box for configuration files that will be installed on public machines that are shared by many users. (As of version 2.0a4 this is not used for anything yet.)
